Weekend Round Up: Allegiance Bankers in the Community

It was a busy and exciting weekend! Here is a round-up of several ways our Allegiance Bankers engaged with the community the past few days.

April 12, 2019: Allegiance Bank was proud to support the 28th annual spring luncheon for The Women’s Resource, an organization that helps women and girls make choices toward becoming independent, productive and financially stable. The Outstanding Women in Banking & Finance Award was given at the luncheon, which recognizes the skill, savvy and expertise of Houston women in banking and finance. It was an honor to celebrate the award nominees for their considerable contributions and achievement in the industry.

April 13, 2019: Allegiance Bankers filled Lyons Avenue in Houston’s Historic 5th Ward community to support the 2019 Lyons Avenue Renaissance Festival. The bank is a long-time sponsor of the free family-friendly event, which celebrates the history, art and culture of the area. This year’s festivities featured Houston’s only egg drop by helicopter, dispersing 50,000 candy-filled eggs for kids to collect. Allegiance Bank sponsored the egg drop, hosted an event booth and had several volunteers on hand to promote financial literacy.

April 13, 2019: It was a privilege to partner with the Houston Black Real Estate Association (HBREA) at the 2019 Community Wealth Building Day and Expo. Part of the 2019 Realtists WEEK program presented by the HBREA and the National Association of Real Estate Brokers, the expo encourages and supports financial literacy, home ownership and self-sufficiency. The event is part of a national effort to create two million African American new homeowners in five years.
