Walking the Talk

At Allegiance Bank, being a community bank means something to us. In fact, it means everything. It drives our desire to deliver excellence in all we do, not just because it’s investing in the communities that we live and work, but because it’s the right thing to do. That’s what “The Allegiance Way” is all about. From disaster recovery support efforts to equipping small businesses, here is a sampling of recent ways that we’re walking the talk.

Cypress-Fairbanks ISD Partnership: Allegiance Bank was humbled to accept a repeat honoree award from the Texas Association of School Boards 2018-2019 Recognition Program. The award was presented by Dr. Mark Henry, Superintendent of Cypress-Fairbanks ISD, who noted, “Cypress-Fairbanks ISD is grateful that you choose to Stand up for Texas Public Schools…CFISD provides opportunity for all because of you, and we value our relationship with your institution.”

Shoe Drive: Allegiance partnered with Buckner Shoes for Orphan Souls to collect new shoes for children here and abroad. 147 pairs of shoes were collected across eight Allegiance Bank locations. Thank you to our amazing customers and employees for their participation!

Disaster Recovery in Texas Communities: In partnership with Community Bank of Texas and the Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas, Allegiance Bank was privileged to award $10,000 in Partnership Grant Program funds to Beaumont nonprofit HELBIG Community Development Corporation. HELBIG provides disaster recovery assistance including shelter counseling, home restoration and repairs in southeast Texas.

Memorial Spring Branch Community Immunization Program: Senior Vice President Scott McDonald from Allegiance Bank’s Memorial Spring Branch location partnered with the West Houston Leadership Institute to provide low to moderate income families with immunizations, school supplies and more. It was a great event, and we were thankful to be part of it.

Small Business Meet & Greet: Local business owners gathered at our Memorial Spring Branch office last month to meet the Allegiance Bank team, including President and COO Ray Vitulli and Bank Office President Ignacio Pujol, Jr., and learn about what makes us different in the community. We had a great turnout and appreciated the opportunity to share a meal and talk through practical examples of how we come alongside business owners in varying fields to help meet their unique goals.

Team of the Week: After a brief summer hiatus, we’re happy to be back on the field to recognize the amazing high school athletic teams in our communities. Last week, Allegiance Banker John Dyer recognized the Strake Jesuit football team as the Allegiance Bank Team of the Week. Congratulations, Crusaders, on a huge rival win to kick off the season in front of an incredible crowd of more than 7,000 fans.
