Community Banks Build Strong Communities
Are you Looking for a Local, Community Bank in Houston?
Each year, the Independent Community Bankers of America shines a light on Community Banks and what it means to be a Community Bank. Allegiance Bank is proud to serve our customers as one of Houston’s largest community banks. Community banks invest in their community and give back locally. At Allegiance, our bankers have strong roots in the community, living and volunteering right in the neighborhoods that they serve.
We believe in the power of local. From marathons to volunteer events at the Houston Food Bank, low-income schools and beyond, our commitment to giving back is the heart of our business. We’re involved in and proudly sponsor initiatives that benefit organizations, schools and residents in the communities we serve.
Outside of our volunteer initiatives, Allegiance continues to focus on the local community. Larger banks often take deposits in an entirely different state but lend in another. Our loans focus on the neighborhoods where our customers and bankers live and work, supporting local businesses and enriching communities. In addition, our bankers take the extra time to develop relationships with their customers. By taking steps to get to know customers on a personal level, our bankers are able to make timely loan decisions based on criteria outside of impersonal qualifiers and focus more on the individual and their work ethic of history. While it might take a megabank several steps and approvals to make a decision on business loans, community banks are able to make timely decisions for our customers.
“As a community banker, customer service is very important to me. I look forward to building long term relationships with my customers and their families. Allegiance bankers are proud to get to know each and every one of our customers by their names and history. Going the extra mile to exceed customer expectations every day is how we earn our customer’s trust and loyalty.” Cindy Davies, SVP-Commercial Lender at our Stafford Office.
According to the Federal Reserve’s Small Business Credit Survey’s report on employer firms, community banks are the small business lender of choice. In a recent survey, 79% of independent businesses that used community banks reported that they were satisfied with their overall experience, compared with 67% for large banks and 49% for online lenders. It is an honor to support the small business community of Houston.
We believe that where you bank matters. Our customers know that in choosing to bank with Allegiance, their money is strengthening their own community’s growth by fueling local businesses and families. By providing loans to support small businesses, our Allegiance bankers influence local job growth and more.
