Celebrating 30 Years of Fifth Ward Service
April 22, 2019 – We were proud to stand beside partner Fifth Ward Community Redevelopment Corporation (CRC) this week to celebrate their 30th anniversary. A catalytic organization, the CRC works to cultivate the Fifth Ward as a community of choice through collaborative fostering of holistic development. One of the leading nonprofit community-based developers in Houston, the CRC educates homebuyers, helps them navigate loan assistance programs, contracts to build new housing, manages real estate and organizes the community around a long-term master plan.
Just days after wrapping the 2019 Lyons Avenue Renaissance Festival, the nonprofit organization marked three decades of dedication with a ribbon cutting event for a new Fifth Ward home owner. Following the ceremony, Marcus Vasquez, Allegiance Bank vice president and Fair Banking Officer, participated in a panel discussing the bank’s partnership with the CRC. Marcus also serves on the CRC’s board of directors.
Congratulations to the CRC on 30 years of championing progress and collaboration in the Fifth Ward. We are thankful for your work and proud to partner with you to serve our community.
