Banker Spotlight: Daniel Koeppen
At Allegiance, we’re a family composed of the most extraordinary and experienced bankers in the industry. Over the past decade, we have created a unique culture where we not only practice what we pledge each day – but also serve our communities and each other “The Allegiance Way.” It’s a privilege to acknowledge the incredible employees who live this out.
Today we recognize Senior Credit Analyst, Daniel Koeppen.
You can find Daniel working hard in Allegiance Bank’s Katy location, where he analyzes risk associated with loans or customers through reviewing the financials and industry of the borrower and guarantors. To close a loan, our lending teams are required to work closely together to provide our customers with the best experience. Communication is key for the lending teams, which often consist of a credit analyst, lending assistant and a lender. Daniel seizes the opportunity to take more of a leadership role with our customers and be their first line of communication with the bank.
Daniel strives to exemplify “The Allegiance Way” in his work by always keeping the customer top of mind. Most recently, he began working with a customer who was branching off on his own and starting his own construction projects. Daniel was able to help this customer formulate and better understand his financials as well as helping him get a corporate credit card through Allegiance Bank. Daniel was also heavily involved in Allegiance Bank’s PPP process. He helped many business owners from outside of the Allegiance Bank network stay open during the pandemic, as well as assisted in providing existing customers with necessary relief.
Daniel loves the people that he works with at Allegiance Bank, the challenges of his job and the opportunity to analyze and meet new people within so many different industries. He shares that Allegiance Bank has pushed him to be the best professional and person that he can be through mentoring and continued learning opportunities. Daniel appreciates Allegiance Bank’s integrity, internal alignment and community-focused initiatives.
Daniel’s proudest moment at Allegiance Bank to date is his involvement in the Creative Dreams School Supply Drive. Growing up, Daniel’s family helped a friend begin the Creative Dreams Outreach Center, an organization that supports the financially disadvantaged youth and foster kids within Fort Bend County. Several Allegiance Bank offices and departments were recently involved in a school supply drive for Creative Dreams. Our bankers participated in a box decorating competition that would collect school supply donations for the program. Shortly after the boxes were decorated and placed at the entrance of our locations, several of them were full!
When he isn’t helping to analyze risk or review financials with a customer, Daniel looks forward to staying active through a round of golf, tennis match or woodworking. He also enjoys spending time with family and friends and participating in community events through community service.
