American Heart Month Awareness
At Allegiance Bank, we aim to educate our community. In addition to providing information on financial wellness, overall wellness is also important to us, as the wellbeing of our customers and bankers is always top of mind.
The American Heart Association recognizes this February as American Heart Month, and Allegiance Bank is a longtime partner of the AHA. Our bankers have worked with the group for decades to raise awareness about cardiovascular disease. According to the AHA, a shocking 58% put no effort into improving their heart health, yet heart disease kills more people than all forms of cancer combined. Luckily, heart disease is preventable in most cases by consciously making healthier choices.
This February, consider incorporating healthy choices into your lifestyle.
Keep your heart healthy by:
- Giving up smoking
- Maintaining a healthy weight
- Controlling your blood sugar and cholesterol
- Treating high blood pressure
- Exercising for at least 150 minutes each week
- Getting regular checkups
Please join our bankers and wear red on National Wear Red Day this Friday, February 5th, to raise awareness about cardiovascular disease and help save lives.
